Create Account

If you have an account and forgot your password - do NOT create a new account.

Open the Login Page, and click where it says "Request new password" on lower part of the right hand column.

1. Familiarlize yourself with site, its rules, and practices.
   We would especially like new players to read the Code of Conduct, which outlines many things particular to this site, and is NOT a long rambling document written by lawyers.
   
   Do not, as a few have done, choose a rude, vulgar, or otherwise inappropriate account name - you won't be able to keep using it.
   
   It is also important to read the FAQ page to know what is expected of players on the site.
   Answers to common new-player "How do I ...?" questions can be found there.



2. After reading those two documents, continue as follows:
3. Create the account: complete and submit the form below.
4. Activate the account: you must use a valid email address so that you can respond to the email we send which contains instructions on activating your account.
   We recommend against using temporary, throwaway email addresses, since we may need the address later if you forget your password.
   We will not spam you nor will we give your email to other sites or services.

   Be sure you can receive mail from info@pentolla.com,
   and check both your inbox and your spam folder,
   as sometimes the emails go there.

   We recommend that you add info@pentolla.com as a contact or on your whitelist to help ensure receipt of the mail.

   We see accounts being created, but no login follows.
   If you don't receive the mail, contact us at info@pentolla.com

• Account IDs are limited to 20 characters: a-z 0-9, starting with a-z
  (no upper case, punctuation, or accented characters)
  Shorter, rather than longer, names are advised.
  This site is moderated and offensive names are not permitted.
  Avoid rude, insulting, or controversial names.
  Choose a name you'd be happy to tell your grandmother,
  or granddaughter, for that matter.
  
• Passwords must be at least 6 characters and include a non-letter.
  Don't use passwords that you use on other sites.
  If someone learns either one, both sites might be compromised.
• Email address must be valid, and only used for one player name.
  As part of the account creation process, you'll receive an email at this address.
  You will not have access to your account until you open that email, and follow the link within it.
  If it's not in your inbox, check your Spam or Junk folder, as it may have gone there.
  
  Temporary, throwaway email addresses are not advised, since the address on record is used if you need a replacement password.
  

Change password

We think it's great to use this game for educational purposes, but large groups of students can be somewhat disruptive to the other players, so we ask a couple of things:

• Let us know you're coming!
  Please drop a note to info@pentolla.com telling us about your plans, the approximate age group of the students, and whether this will be for a short or long time.
  
  
• Restrict the students use of the chat feature, especially the lobby, or global chat, which everyone on site can see. Make sure they understand that disturbing other players is not to be done, and it may get the whole class banned from the site. This includes nonsense chat (such as "asdfasdfasdf") and especially any vulgarity or profanity.

  They can be a bit freer in communicating with each other, primarily using the table chat, but it's probably even better that they don't use it at all.
